Location: Pittsford, NY (Hybrid Position)

What does an Identity and Access Management Administrator do?

Responsible for performing the Information Security program’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) administrative functions and provide technical and process support in IAM related issues to users. The Administrator will communicate with internal customers, will take responsibility and ownership for the requests, and prioritize them in accordance with procedures currently in place. Assisting with implementing strategies to achieve goals developed for the department as part of the Information Security’s annual operating plan; ensuring the bank’s compliance with various operating policies, standards and procedures and applicable regulatory requirements; communicating and interfacing with other divisions and management personnel.

What competencies are needed to be successful in this role?

  • An associate degree in computer or information security disciple or certification required. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Two years’ experience in a related position generally required
  • Basic knowledge of Information Technology principals and systems;
  • Strong understanding of role-based access controls (RBAC) methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Analytical skills. Proficiency in interpreting, analyzing, and reporting information.

What does a successful first year in this position look like?

  1. Ensure customer satisfaction and that users have the access required to perform their job function in accordance with the risk-based business decisions.
  2. Work with the business to understand the objectives of access requests while supporting the secure management of access and business objectives.
  1. Administer the user access request process, including granting, revoking, and modifying user access as required, based on job titles, and as directed by a properly authorized individual.
  2. Responsible for maintaining detailed, accurate and accessible documented records of requests, inquiries, baseline authorities, approvals, and exceptions.
  3. Coordination and follow-up on customer inquiries regarding access requests and support on access issues.
  4. Perform operational level troubleshooting activities and take action to resolve issues; engage other technical resources as needed; escalate to management as appropriate.
  5. Maintain the schedule for authority reviews in accordance with regulatory and other audit requirements.
  6. Conduct periodic reviews of user access to infrastructure, systems and applications across the enterprise according to a defined schedule.
  7. Identify process improvements in support of the Identity and Access Management activities.

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $26.50-$29.00 per hour. The actual salary offered within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, level offered, and performance expectations.
