We're seeking a future team member for the role of Back End Java Developer to join our Treasury Services Engineering team. This role is in Pittsburgh, PA - HYBRID. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: API Development: Design, develop, and maintain APIs using Java and Spring Boot. Database Integration: Integrate APIs with SQL databases, ensuring data integrity and efficiency. Testing: Write unit and integration tests to ensure the functionality and reliability of API endpoints. Documentation: Create clear and concise documentation for APIs, detailing functionality, endpoints, and use cases. Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration of APIs. Performance Tuning: Optimize application for maximum speed, scalability, and maintainability. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with emerging technologies and apply them to improve existing solutions. To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: Education: bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Languages: Strong understanding of Java. Frameworks: Excellent knowledge of Spring Boot. Databases: Basic Understanding of SQL databases, writing queries, and basic database design. APIs: Experience with RESTful services and API design best practices. Version Control: Experience with Git or other version control systems. Familiarity with other components of the Spring ecosystem (e.g., Spring Security, Spring Data JPA). Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker. Understanding of microservices architecture.
