As a Software Services Manager Sr. within PNC's C&IB Payment Transformation organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, within a PNC footprint or remote.

This opportunity is a part of the PNC Payments Transformation Leadership team, working closely with business, operations, and enterprise technology teams at PNC to continue to evolve PNC's strategic payments roadmap.

The following experience is preferred:

  • Strong Technical Manager, with a broad skilled technology background

  • Distributed Applications with Tier One, critical business functions, high availability (24x7x365) and scalable performance demands

  • Experience implementing vendor packages and inhouse developed solutions

  • Cloud Native experience

  • DevOps experience

  • Microservice architecture

  • Self-motivated, can do attitude, team first mentality

  • Strong business acumen (Payments domain preferred or other critical business functions)

  • Experience with combined business and technical solution transformations

Job Description

  • Manages multiple development projects, development groups and/or application support functions for a major business segment.

  • Oversees the development and implementation of multiple, complex, organization-wide systems .

  • Allocates and ensures resource arrangements during the application development life cycle .

  • Maintains relationships with clients to ensure the implementation quality of application systems .

  • Provides solutions or recommendations on complicated technology issues for application development and implementation .

Competencies Application Delivery Process - Knowledge of major tasks, deliverables, and formal application delivery methodologies; ability to utilize these in order to deliver new or enhanced applications.Application Development Tools - Knowledge of and ability to utilize a variety of specific tools and toolkits for the development and support of applications.IT Environment - Knowledge of an organization's IT purposes, activities and standards; ability to create an effective IT environment for business operations. Work Experience Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry-relevant experience is typically 8+ years. At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required. Proven leadership experience with a moderate to large scope of responsibility is required.
