Philips Senior Reliability Engineer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

The Senior Reliability Engineer will play a critical role in developing and executing the reliability plans and processes for the Patient Interface (Masks) Engineering Team.

Your role:

  • Work with the project teams to develop a reliability program plan to document tasks, methods, tools, tests, and analyses that are required for the success of new products.

  • Assist engineering teams to achieve warranty reduction and improve customer satisfaction by leading quality efforts on problem identification, failure root cause analysis, corrective action development and resolution verification.

  • Manage and conduct training and workshops on quality and reliability engineering, robustness, and statistics as necessary within product engineering.

  • Participate in product design and reliability reviews during new product development to ensure robustness of product design and manufacturing processes.

  • Work cross functionally with reliability peers across S&RC.

  • Assist and lead activities in support of the greater System Test needs within Patient Interface.

  • Reporting to the Group Leader-Global R&D Hardware Engineering, you will collaborate cross-functionally within Patient Interface engineering, Reliability peers, and across our greater Sleep & Respiratory Care teams in execution of task and processes.

  • This Hybrid , Pittsburgh, PA based role may require travel up to 10%.

You're the right fit if:

  • You’ve acquired a minimum of 5 years’ experience focused on Reliability/Verification testing within highly regulated product environments (FDA regulated medical device highly preferred).

  • You have proven experience working with product engineering to develop reliability requirements, establish a reliability program and perform appropriate analyses to ensure that new products meet all requirements.

  • You have experience working with project teams to develop a reliability program plan to document tasks, methods, tools, tests, and analyses that are required for the success of new products.

  • Assist engineering teams to achieve warranty reduction and improve customer satisfaction by leading quality efforts on problem identification, failure root cause analysis, corrective action development and resolution verification.

  • Manage and conduct training and workshops on quality and reliability engineering, robustness, and statistics as necessary within product engineering.

  • You have proven knowledge/experience with reliability engineering tools and methodologies, including Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Highly Accelerated Limit Testing (HALT), Accelerated Life Testing (ALT), Design/ Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA/FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time to Failure (MTTF), Environmental Testing and Design for Reliability (DfR)

  • You’re experienced in Data Analysis, utilizing the ReliaSoft Suite of tools.

  • You have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (REQUIRED): Reliability, Mechanical, Biomedical, Plastics or comparable disciplines. Master’s Degree (desired).

  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position .
