American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. SENIOR LINUX ENGINEER in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
American Eagle Outfitters, Inc., headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, seeks a Senior Linux Engineer. This is a fully remote position, and the employee can work from anywhere in the United States to be responsible for the analysis, design, engineering, testing, documentation, implementation, maintenance, operation and functionality for over 600 Red hat Linux systems and related tools, as well as the support of business system users. Duties include: (i)automation of repeated workflows via advanced Ansible code, integrating seamlessly into existing codebase; (ii)setup and configure the Google Cloud Platform compute resources, and deployment of GCE and GCVE instances using the Terraform, Packer infrastructure code; (iii) developing and creating hardware, software, and related technology roadmaps for the system life cycle; (iv) participating in a 24x7 "On-Call" rotation and off-hour "system maintenance" activities.
This is a fully remote position, and the employee can work from anywhere in the United States.
Must have a bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field plus five years of experience in a related position.
Experience must include five (5) years with: (i) operating systems skills Red hat Enterprise Linux and MacOS; (ii) scripting and programing languages Shell and Python; (iii) configuration and management tools, such as Ansible roles and modules with tower management and Puppet, etc.; (iv) virtualization technologies, such as VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, etc.; (v) network file shares and configurations such as NFS, CIFS, GPFS, etc; (vi) content creation and patch management tools such as Red hat Satellite and Foreman; (vii) backup and recovery management with Cohesity.
Must have one (1) year of experience with public cloud technologies such as infrastructure as a service with AWS cloud services like EC2, ELB, and S3 or Google cloud services such as GKE, GCE, and GCVE implementation with Terraform and Packer.
Experience can be concurrent.
