UPMC Mercy is seeking a full-time Radiology Technologist Advanced to support the Mercy Outpatient Facility in Downtown Pittsburgh!
We are offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus to eligible hires for a 2-year work commitment! Candidates with more than 1 year of experience are eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus for a 2-year work commitment, as well!

The Radiology Technologist Advanced will work 8-hour shifts between the hours of 6 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday! No on-call or major holidays required!
The Radiology Technologist Advanced performs imaging procedures at an advanced level, not requiring constant supervision. This role competently performs a variety of advanced technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. Additional responsibilities include blood draws, preparing lab specimens, performing EKGs, and C-arm operation. Responsibilities:
Performs or assists Clinical Specialist in performing QA, regulatory testing, and other technical and research initiatives.
Performs all job responsibilities of Diagnostic Tech I.
Demonstrates competency of specialty equipment (O.R., Fluoro Procedures, etc.) and analyzes data promptly.
Performs electrocardiograms and lab draw functions, if applicable.
Monitors quality control activities and demonstrates advanced level of knowledge in Diagnostic Imaging by providing patient care as defined by the most up to day protocols and procedures.
Demonstrates the ability to function independently, and is able to cover off shifts, on-call responsibilities, and perform services at satellite facilities, where applicable, while continually communicating with lead and management team.
Participates in standardization activities with system-level workgroups.
Works directly with Radiologists regarding protocol development.
Assist with the training of staff and student technologists.
Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
2 years of Diagnostic Radiology experience required.
Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
ARRT certified in Radiography. CPR or BLS Required. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
ARRT Certificate
Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
Act 33 with renewal
Act 34 with renewal
Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
