Description

Our client in the Pittsburgh area is looking for a Development Specialist to act as an ambassador for a non-profit organization, always striving to engage participants and their donors with the mission by providing exceptional customer service. This is remote contract role for 3 months, with the possibility of being extending, with some attending some events in Pittsburgh. This position works closely with the development team to foster participant engagement, exceed participant and donor expectations and drive revenue and participation. Pay ranges from $20-$21.

In addition, this position is part of a team which implements the fundraising, recruitment and cultivation strategies for the organization and will work closely with team members across the country.

Requirements

Essential Functions:

• Execute fundraising and recruitment outreach via phone calls, emails, and other tactics.

• Identify prospects for increased engagement in the organization or other properties/programs leading to revenue growth.

• Support market and regional development teams by enhancing outreach to increase event revenue through major campaigns, fundraising challenges, and promotions.

• Maintain accurate outreach records utilizing development’s standard tools and resources.

• Be knowledgeable about the organization and its mission to enhance customer service.

• May oversee interim management of event donor portfolios. Will provide recommendations on warm transfers upon transitioning portfolio back to local team.

• Assist the organization in the staff in the day-to-day communication, planning, and evaluation efforts for recruitment, cultivation, and stewardship of event participants.

• Assist in the reporting of metrics on team impact to improve tactics of the Outbound Support team and its methods.

• Support the event experience activities as needed.
