Job Description

Given the complexities of delivering on large projects and programs, the fundamental purpose of this Lead Mobile Developer role is to provide clear ownership for delivery. The developers placed in this role are required to oversee, guide, and actively participate in the delivery of a specific project area of focus. In order to do so, the role requires individuals to develop strong partnerships with Product Managers, Project Managers and appropriate cross-functional teams in order to best facilitate delivery of roadmap initiatives. Additionally, this role is designed to provide clear and consistent communication within engineering to mitigate risk, provide assistance for delivery success, and elevate the accomplishments of the team. While this role is not an individual contributor it is important that this person is technical from an Android and iOS perspective to be involved with all aspects of planning, engineering, and delivery, in some cases, actively contributing to development and delivery to ensure the success of the teams initiatives.

Skills and Requirements

Strong understanding of the entire Android and iOS development cycle and technical stack

  Android

   Experience with Object Oriented (OO) software design

   Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GIT

   in-depth mobile development - Kotlin, Java, Android SDK/Frameworks, REST APIs, JSON

   Experience overseeing the entire feature delivery process, from requirement gathering to development and functional testing, which includes writing Jira stories, writing clean code, writing unit tests, integration tests, acceptance tests, and contract tests.

   Experience working on enterprise or consumer-grade apps, building SDKs and/or payment processing, encryption, etc.

   Strong understanding of software development principles, capabilities and limitations of mobile platform(s)

   Experience sizing and estimating projects based on technical documents and Jira stories.

  iOS

   in-depth mobile development - Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, iOS SDK/Frameworks, REST APIs, JSON, GIT

   Familiarity with CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo, Fastlane) and experience setting up deployment pipelines

   Tableview and Collectionview

   Understanding of MVVM and VIPER development patterns

Strong understanding of the XCTest and XCUITest framework Retail and ecommerce experience

Technical/ Project Lead experience

COE - Correction of Error Process

Agile Methodologies

Specific to iOS

  Experience working on enterprise or consumer-grade apps and/or payment processing, encryption, etc. preferred

  Experience working with open source frameworks like Alamofire, Promisekit, Firebase, Airship, Cuckoo and Adyen null
