DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Description Vitalant is hiring an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist to bring skilled technical support to ou r high complexity testing blood bank l aboratory.

As a Med Lab Scientist, you'll get to: * Perform high complexity testing in immunohematology, including antibody identification, antigen typing, absorptions, elution, and xmatch and type/screen for patients in hospital. * Provide technical support to hospital transfusion services. * Review and report test results, participate in investigative studies, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations. * Conduct training, observations, competency assessments and documentation. * Participate in technical investigative studies.
Requirements * Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, medical technology or clinical laboratory science required. * Certification as a Medical Technologist/MLS/BB/SBB from an accredited agency or CLIA equivalent for high complexity testing required. * State licensure as required by regulations. * Three years of laboratory testing experience required. * One year of Reference Lab/IRL experience preferred. * Two years of experience in a lead or charge capacity required.
