    Position Summary

The Lunch Aide assists the School Staff with all lunch preparation, clean-up, stocking supplies, and any other related tasks/projects as assigned by the Program Director.

Essential Responsibilities

  • To assist the Day School staff with the serving of daily lunches, the Lunch Aide will:

a. Set drinks (i.e. milk) out for students’ lunch daily.b. Set out all necessary condiments for daily lunch.c. After all lunches are finished each day, clean all tables, chairs, utensils, kitchen counters and microwave.d. Restock all required supplies and inform Office Manager when supplies need to be ordered. e. Maintain visual and auditory contact with the student at lunch times during the school day unless otherwise arranged with staff.

  • To ensure appropriate documentation of lunch activities, the Aide will:

a. Maintain written records as requested.b. Completing spreadsheets with Pressley Ridge softwarec. Monitor and record hot and cold temperatures dailyd. Follow program policy regarding the documentation of critical incidents (such as physical injury or illness, property damage, runaway, physical interventions, etc.)e. Complete necessary trainings for the Federal Lunch Programf. Maintain ServSafe certification

Qualifications

  • Clearances. State Police; FBI clearance; child abuse clearance; CPSL Mandated Reporter-Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training; any additional background checks/clearances required by state governing bodies.

  • Valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.

    Working Conditions

  • Physical Demands. This position requires a moderate to high level of physical activity employee must meet minimum requirements for Hearing, Speech and Vision. Hearing is not applicable for the School for the Deaf.

  • Environmental. School, Home and community.

  • Working Hours. As assigned.
