DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Legal Intern, you will be primarily responsible for preparing and examining legal documents and files for the Appellate Court and providing varied support to the Office of Chief Counsel. This role will require you to handle litigation documents for multiple counties and access confidential information. This internship affords the opportunity to draft numerous documents, review incoming correspondence, and provide administrative assistance to attorneys in different offices. Furthermore, you will inform attorneys about upcoming trials, settlements, and hearing commitments, and prepare legal documents in the appropriate formats for court and administrative proceedings.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time Internship, 37.5 hours per week. May 2024 through August 2024. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pittsburgh. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Note: You may have the option to work in-person or hybrid, depending on the needs of both the intern and the office. Some level of reporting in-person is required. QUALIFICATIONS Internship Requirements: Current enrollment in an accredited law degree program, with first course of evidence. Third year applicants preferred.

Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher).

Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university. Working knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.

Additional Requirements: You must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

You must be able to perform essential job functions. Preferred Qualification (not required):

Third year applicant enrolled in an accredited law degree program. Legal Requirements:
