Laboratory Research Technician II Job Summary

Performs a variety of laboratory experiments and procedures. Prepares specimens. Oversees supply management. Operates and properly maintains equipment.

Essential Functions

1. 1. Perform mammalian cell culture and molecular biology experiments. These experiments will include, cell passaging and maintenance, western blotting, extracellular vesicle isolation, multiplex assays, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, processing of human tumor specimens and liver cells, and setup and running of single and multi-organ-on-a-chip systems. 2. Experiments with mice. This will involve preparing cancer cells and treatments for injections as well as helping with injections, monitoring mice and end point surgeries. 3. Strong basic mathematical skills, such as dilutions, ratios, molarity etc. 4. Strong organization, communication and planning skills are required.

Physical Effort

This position is primarily sedentary. However, some walking between laboratories will be necessary.
