PNC Independent Risk Management Development Program Analyst/Associate in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Position Overview

By joining PNC’s Independent Risk Management (IRM) Development Program, you are joining a part of a highly competitive 12-month program that will allow you to explore your potential through hands-on experience in a professional environment. This is an excellent opportunity to begin exploring your career goals, in addition to growing your skills in key areas. The goal of PNC’s IRM Development Program is to develop associates to be able to assess and identify risks that could impede the strategy, reputation, operations, or financial success of the organization.

During this 12-month rotational program, associates work with IRM or line of business risk management professionals to maintain PNC’s strong emphasis on effective risk management while adhering to our enterprise risk appetite. Associates will collaborate with senior management and other risk professionals while learning about the key components of our risk framework through experience in activities such as analysis and metrics, policy and procedures, , research, communications, meetings with key regulatory stakeholders and reporting.

Throughout the program, associates will participate in four rotations including an Enterprise Risk or an Operational Risk rotation as well as having an opportunity to rotate through any of the areas below. This will provide exposure to different areas within IRM and across the PNC Enterprise. BSA/AML

Your position in the IRM Development Program is based in the Pittsburgh, PA market. You will be expected to work in this market during the rotation portion of the program and be in the office a minimum of three days per week. Upon completion of the program, there may be opportunities to work in other markets where IRM has a large presence. These include:

• Cleveland, OH

• Raleigh NC

• Washington DC

• Houston, TX

• Birmingham, AL

• Philadelphia, PA/Southern NJ

This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis.  Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager’s discretion.

Job Description

Participates as an associate in the IRM development program:

  • Performs or assists with the core activities of the group by applying knowledge learned to drive business results (e.g., process support, internal or external customer interaction, or supporting internal projects). Works under supervision and may have limited approval and/or exception authority.

  • Participates in social learning within the organization (e.g., identifies and networks with business representatives and peers, participates in mentoring, job shadowing and community outreach projects).

  • Participates in formal learning (e.g., classroom, web-based or virtual) and completes related activities and projects.

  • Supports the internal and external customer experience by providing excellent service at all times; takes accountability and ensures problem resolution.
