Carnegie Mellon University Frontline Retail Sales Consultant - Facilities Management & Campus Services (FMC in PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania

Reference #: 2021723 The Carnegie Mellon University Store is searching for a Frontline Retail Sales Consultant to join the team! You will contribute to the department by providing support in the university store which sells CMU merchandise, computers, art supplies, office products and gifts. Core Responsibilities Will Include: Assists customers in a sales environment to drive product sales. Serve as brand ambassador providing general CMU information and assistance to visitors and community members. Demonstrates advanced product knowledge. Provide first-class customer service, including making recommendations to the customers; ringing the sale/return on the cash register, and credit card; monitoring customer flow and store activities; packaging merchandise and/or gift wrapping, etc Actively assists with physical inventory and reconciliation. Assists with and develops merchandising displays. Works with student workers to ensure accurate training and adherence to store policies. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: High School or GED 1-3 years retail and/or customer service preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to stand for long periods; Ability to lift - up to 50 lbs.
