DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: LB Foster is looking for Financial Analyst II, Financial Accounting in our corporate office, located in Pittsburgh, PA. And we're looking for YOU!

Who You Are... Responsible for hands-on analysis to support and improve the financial controls area and regulatory financial statement reporting of L.B. Foster Company.  Responsibilities include reviewing and testing Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls, addressing and applying technical accounting topics, and support and review of periodic SEC filings. 

This Position...

Is an integral part of the Accounting and Finance team at LB Foster.  Some examples of the work you might do include.  * Assist in execution of controls assessment process to ensure appropriate executive certification for SOX.  * Work effectively with senior analyst to oversee SOX assessment program and controls environment.  * Partner and liaise with process owners globally in all business units to enhance and properly document the Company's internal controls environment.  * Regularly assess and update documentation for the Company's internal control procedures.  * Act as key liaison with internal and external auditors with their audits of internal controls over financial reporting and work directly with them to ensure testing standards and deadlines for reliance are met, as well as provide and coordinate data requests and analysis.  * Assist in financial analysis of monthly global reporting packages as well as financial statement fluctuation analyses.  * Participate in the composition, tie-out, and review of the Company's periodic filings with the SEC.  * Assist in the preparation of investor relations presentations and materials.  * Assist with technical research on accounting issues and new accounting standards.  * Participate in other audits or special projects.

What Do You Need?  * Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.  * Minimum 2 years of accounting/auditing experience required.  * 2 years of public accounting experience preferred.  * Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.  * Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley rules, and related requirements.  * Well-versed in Microsoft Office package with an emphasis on Excel.  * Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.  * Experience with Workiva, Planful, Alteryx, SAP, and Infor Visual a plus.  * Meet commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity.  * Ability to work well under deadlines, prioritize work, and deliver results on time.  * Self-starting with good organizational skills.  * Ability to exercise independent, sound judgment and decision making.  * Full understanding of accounting principles and all financial statement interactions.  * Must be comfortable working with raw data and transforming it into insights and information to use in management decision making.  * Proven track record of delivering well organized, highly accurate, and articulate work product.  * Strong analytical and problems solving skills.  * Critical thinking.  * Ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to others, inside and outside of finance.
