Director of Data and Analytics
The Director of Analytics serves as trusted advisor to senior leadership for the University of Pittsburgh School of Business Pitt Business. This position is responsible for delivering accurate, relevant and timely data and analysis to inform decisions supporting the school's strategic goals. The Director supervises the day-to-day operations of assigned area and leads a team of two data analysts. Working closely with the Dean's Office and senior leadership, the Director oversees the creation and implementation of data analytics collection and reporting to support strategic and operational priorities.
Essential Functions
Prepare and present comprehensive reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior leadership and other stakeholders to inform policy, strategic planning and resource allocation. Supervises staff, which includes hiring, performance reviews, and documenting disciplinary actions and other human resource administration; manages work schedules and approves timecards; provides professional development opportunities; distributes and reviews work.Provide essential leadership to develop employees and teams to support a culture of analytics throughout Pitt Business. Oversee process to collect and validate data for external benchmarking, rankings and accreditation. Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive assessment strategy for the school, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities.Collaborate with School stakeholders to identify key performance indicators and metrics that assessOversees the analytics lifecycle including data collection, preparation, advanced analysis, and modeling.Prioritize analytic objective/outcomes and design analytic programs to achieve outcomes. Job Summary
Serves as trusted advisor to senior leadership and advises on programs, initiatives, and special projects. Translates strategic plans into operational plans. Oversees communications, promotions, and public relations for unit. Develops effective partnerships throughout the University to advance University vision. Develops and administers the operating budget.
