DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Description Vitalant is seeking a Laboratory Assistant II dedicated to making a positive difference. Your impact as a Laboratory Assistant II, is vital. Support Vitalant's life saving mission by preparing routine specimens and performing supplementary tasks to aid in testing. Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure timely, high-quality, test results, while maintaining accurate record-keeping.

What to Expect Schedule: Days This is a PRN/AS Needed schedule. No weekly schedule/ no number of hours guaranteed.

As a Clinical Laboratory Assistant II, you'll get to:  * Unbox samples received from both internal and external customers, identifying unacceptable or missing samples, labels or paperwork and promptly reporting discrepancies to the supervisor.  * Support in the management and ordering of supplies, reagents, as required.  * Aid in the processing of bio-waste, specimens and micro-plates.  * Execute the receipt and preparation of samples.  * Pack and ship, and deliver supplies and/or specimens to customers.

Requirements  * High School or GED required.  * Valid in-state drivers license required.  * One year of related experience required.
