Casual Pool Staff

RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS

  • Pre-employment drug screen High School Diploma or Equivalency

  • Valid Driver license

  • Ability to drive organizational vehicle

  • Act 33/34/73 clearances

  • Pre-employment screenings

SCHEDULE:

Varies based on program needs and your own willingness to pick up shifts. All casual pool members are required to work a minimum of 4 shifts per month to stay active in the casual pool.

ABOUT YOU

Your daily tasks will vary based on shift and program needs- however in any given day, you might cook, clean, bathe, manage medications, take residents to appointments, interact with family members or providers, and design games and crafts. We specialize in meeting our residents where they are at. No lifting or transferring of residents is required, but some sites require direct care and bathing. We’re looking for employees who are professional, flexible, compassionate, and can remain composed in stressful situations.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • We’re looking for people to join our Casual Pool to help support our staff in the personal care home pod for of the mental health residential department. Our three personal care homes are located in the Wilkinsburg, West Mifflin and Munhall areas.

  • This position will require working rotating shifts, which might include weekends and holidays. We’ll guarantee at least 15 hours a week, often more hours are available based on your availability!

  • Casual pool staff are required to complete a minimum of 4 shifts per month to stay active, and you always know your schedule in advance!

  • Casual Pool staff provide coverage and residential support to our personal care programs. Casual Pool provide assistance and training to adults with Intellectual Disabilities/Serious Mental Illness in a Personal Care Home setting. We’re looking for people who are willing to lend a heling hand, and who believe in a strengths-based approach, and use positive practices to help guide our residents' everyday activities.
