Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Business Analyst. This individual will serve as a business analyst working on gathering requirements for applications and data warehouse KPIs. The consultant will participate in meetings and provide feedback during design and code reviews. Knowledge of UML and Object Oriented Analysis and Design are a must. Collect business reporting and analysis needs and interpret for implementation in the DW/BI. Work with subject matter experts to understand and document informational requirements and data availability expectations, derive candidate list of KPI's and metrics. Liaise between business users and technical personnel. Works closely with the data analyst to ensure business requirements are understood. Responsible for second level support of user tools and provide training to users using such tools.

Data Warehouse concepts: They need to have a solid grasp of Data Warehouse principals as they will be leading the development of dashboards and reports.

Communication: They need to be very comfortable presenting to, participating in discussions with and interviewing senior executives for requirements i.e. they need to have a confident, people friendly personality.

Documentation & Training: I need them to be strong on documentation and preferably UML so that they can put together documentation for the technical team. They will also be responsible for training end users and developing training materials for them.

Data Analysis: They will need to have strong data analysis skills so that they can review source data to determine quality and gaps and develop business models, glossaries for the data.

Skills and Requirements

Requirements:

 Minimum 6 years of experience as a BA or BSA

 Develop UML documentation

 User Stories -- use cases

 Working knowledge of data warehousing

 Datawarehouse KPI development

 Data analysis experience

 Experience querying databases

 Build Data models and dictionaries null
