PNC Business Development Officer-Private Equity in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

As a Business Development Officer within PNC's Mezzanine Private Equity Group, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.

Responsibilities:

 Manage all PR and marketing communications of the firm (website, press

releases, electronic and standard mailers, presentations, etc)

 Coordinate and assist in execution of all business development activities

of the firm

 Work in conjunction with investment team to develop and execute a

cohesive marketing strategy

 Conduct in-person and telephonic meetings with deal sources/prospects to

generate deal activity and build relationships

 Attend trade shows and conferences to represent the firm

 Maintain, organize and analyze data from CRM system in conjunction with

input from other team members

 Participate in the investment review and selection process

 Report directly to Partners of the firm

Requirements:

 Position based in Pittsburgh, PA

 BA/BS required, MBA or other advanced degree considered

 Positive attitude and outgoing personality

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 Superb organizational skills with ability to work without direct supervision

 Willingness to travel throughout the US up to 30 weeks per year (typically 2-

3 days per week) - assumes a return to normal business environment

post-COVID; prior to a more normal environment, travel will be limited, with

a larger focus on electronic communication

 Minimum 3 years business development, marketing or sales experience

 Experience utilizing a CRM system, including data analysis

(Salesforce.com experience preferred)

 Understanding of capital markets, M&A and financial statements; with

strong preference towards experience in private equity, investment banking,

cashflow/ABL lending or mezzanine finance

Job Description

  • Develops and implements firm's marketing strategy and works with investment team to execute business development activities by identifying prospective investment opportunities.

  • Participates in marketing and sales efforts directed toward sources of investments, including developing marketing material. Conducts in-person and telephonic meetings with deal sources/prospects to generate and identify new deal activity and build relationships.

  • Works with investment partners to establish and execute the appropriate activities, tactics and strategies to generate, identify and pursue new opportunities which may include representing the firm at trade shows, conferences and meetings.

  • Analyzes and maintains data from CRM system to manage the firm's coverage of existing intermediaries and deals.

  • Coordinates the business development function and the firms investment professionals to produce best-in-class results relative to brand proliferation and deal flow.
