Business Coordinator
The Office of the University Registrar is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Business Coordinator/Office Manager to oversee daily office operations, including managing office-wide communications, calendars, and events, as well as providing support for financial functions and various projects. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong organizational skills, the ability to manage office resources, assist with compliance-related activities, and provide basic IT support as needed.
Job Summary
Supports senior level roles in a wide variety of complex administrative and office functions as well as specialized technical support for academic or administrative departments.
Essential Functions
The incumbent will serve as primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding office-related inquiries and needs. Oversee day-to-day office operations, including scheduling meetings and events, handling office-wide communications and distributions, and ensuring all office equipment is properly maintained.
The incumbent will assist in preparing monthly financial statements, running and analyzing payroll reports, and managing invoices and expenditures within procurement systems.
Serve as backup to the IT team for entry-level technical issues, including troubleshooting and resolving basic hardware or software problems. Maintain up-to-date documentation of office technology, software, and equipment usage.
Assist in HR-related tasks, such as onboarding new employees and maintaining employee records. Support office culture and morale by assisting in organizing events, team-building activities, and staff meetings. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Additional responsibilities include the ability to manage budgets and analyze financial. Basic IT troubleshooting experience and comfort working with office technology. Previous experience in office management, business coordination, or similar administrative roles is preferred. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Physical Effort
Work is mostly sedentary but will occasionally require the ability to lift office supply boxes and assist with setting up for events and meetings.
