University of Pittsburgh Assistant Professor of Psychology in Cognitive Psychology in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

The Department of Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of assistant professor in the area of cognitive psychology, pending budgetary approval, to begin Fall of 2025.

We are particularly interested in interdisciplinary candidates with research interests that would strengthen bridges between the cognitive psychology program and one or more of the other Psychology program areas (social, bio-health, clinical, developmental) and/or other departments at the University of Pittsburgh. The interdisciplinarity might be realized through topics or methods that span areas, applications of cognitive psychology methods or theories to other domains, or other creative ways to connect fields. We especially welcome research into issues that connect with diversity, equity, belonging, and inclusion.

The Psychology Department is committed to excellence in research and teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. The department offers five graduate training programs: Biological and Health, Clinical, Cognitive, Developmental, and Social, along with cross-training opportunities and connections with interdisciplinary centers such as the LRDC - https://www.lrdc.pitt.edu/ and CNBC - https://www.cnbc.cmu.edu/. The interdisciplinary nature of psychological science is reflected in both faculty research interests and collaborations, and in training options afforded to graduate students.
