University of Pittsburgh Assistant, Associate or Full Professor of Industrial Engineering, Appointment Stream Stream in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
The Department of Industrial Engineering in the University of Pittsburghs Swanson School of Engineering invites applications for a full-time appointment-stream faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. Please note that while this position is not in the tenure stream, it does provide strong job security as well as the opportunity for professional growth and promotion.
Applicants should have a strong interest in teaching a variety of core industrial engineering topics. Applicants must hold a PhD in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
The successful candidate must have outstanding teaching abilities that complement and enhance the teaching and research mission of the Swanson School. The individual will be expected to prepare and teach courses in multiple core IE areas within the program, e.g., engineering management, productivity analysis, human factors, facility layout, and product design at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Preference will be given to candidates with experience and skills in the areas of work design, human factors engineering, and safety engineering. This individual will also be responsible for advising students and collaborating with industry partners to ensure the relevance of the curriculum.
