As a project scientist/consultant for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you’ll conduct office and field activities related to environmental compliance and permitting projects.

Duties may include:

• Preparing environmental data tables, maps, figures, and reports to interpret results and make recommendations for further action.

• Preparing engineering calculations, completing application forms, and compiling permit applications for new and expanding industrial, energy, and other commercial enterprises.

• Contributing to the preparation of environmental regulatory reports and plans.

• Conducting field investigations, data collection, audits, and site reconnaissance tasks

Here's What You'll Need:

• B.S. or M.S. in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field;

• 0-5 years professional experience;

• Detail-oriented;

• Ability to work independently;

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals;

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence;

• Ability to listen effectively and capture important information;

• Ability to speak effectively and give occasional presentations;

• Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel software;

• Ability to travel overnight and work extended hours as needed.

Here's What We'd Like To See:

• Experience with technical writing;

• Experience with EPCRA reporting, PPC/SPCC Plans, RCRA, CAA, CWA, and TSCA;

• Experience with sustainability reporting or ESG programs;

• Strong chemistry background;

• Client-focused service orientation.
