Unique Metals is seeking a detail oriented person to fill a position in our estimating department. As an estimator you will play a crucial role in preparing structural and miscellaneous estimates while analyzing the project design documents and specifications. If you have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, we would like to hear from you.
Duties:
- Analyze project drawings, specifications and other contract documents to prepare accurate estimates
- Collaborate with General Contractors and Design teams to understand project requirements and constraints
- Utilize Estimating and Project Management software such as Fabsuite and BlueBeam
- Develop Project Schedules and timelines to ensure completion of projects
- Review and evaluate subcontracts
- Maintain relationships with clients
Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret contract documents(Specification, Blueprints, Etc)
- Proficiency in Outlook 360, Fabsuite, Bluebeam,Excel and ability to learn new software
- Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills
- Solid Understanding of Construction principles and methods
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
