At Tyndale, we recognize the value of advancing technology and we're excited to add a new Director of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to our growing IT department. Tyndale's Director of AI will lead the strategic development and implementation of sustainable AI technologies optimizing Tyndale's supply chain and logistics, improving sales and marketing strategies, enhancing our customer experiences, and increasing operational efficiency.

HYBRID/REMOTE: Tyndale supports a strong work-life balance. This opportunity requires onsite work a minimum of 2 days a week, with 3 days a week working remotely. To be considered, candidates must reside within a commutable distance from our Tyndale headquarters in Pipersville, PA (Bucks County) or Houston, TX for onsite work as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with business lines to understand their current use of technology -- with a specific focus on member to machine interaction.
  • Developing and implementing AI strategies, in partnership with business stakeholders, to drive Tyndale's strategic goals and to assist members with efficiency and productivity. Areas of focus may include use of machine learning:
    • Utilizing AI for predictive analytics to forecast trends and optimize inventory management.
    • Implementing AI-powered chatbots or virtual assistants to enhance customer service and support.
    • Leveraging AI for fraud detection and prevention in online transactions.
    • Leveraging generative AI to optimize business tasks.
  • Implementing and tracking AI training programs for business stakeholders.
  • Managing contracts with AI vendors while maintaining an AI roadmap for each business segment.
  • Keeping current with the latest AI technologies and trends to continuously maintain Tyndale's AI roadmap.

Qualifications:

  • Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Statistics, or Mathematics degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in applying AI (NLP, Generative, Machine Learning) and developing AI strategies.
  • 5+ yeas of management experience working collaboratively with business lines.
  • Experience working for eCommerce / Supply Chain companies.
  • Self-Motivation / discipline.
  • People first/ natural collaboration skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Content-lead management style / keen to stay hands-on.
