Job Description:

The position is for a local hire in New Delhi, India.

The Field Service Representative Engineer is responsible for to delivering in-country warranty and maintenance support for the Indian Army, Navy, AFSOD in addition to other contractors supporting the aforementioned end users and any other L3Harris Representatives present in the region.

This Field Service Representative Engineer will provide customer training (Operations and Maintenance), installation support, support Joint Receipt Inspections (JRI) with customer and provide Field Support Services. Expertise should include familiarity with tactical communication systems, and board level maintenance & repair.

The Field Service Representative Engineer is also responsible for post-sale support including operations/maintenance training, onsite technical assistance, radio systems and IP network troubleshooting, installation services, LIII (board level) maintenance and repairs.


  • Setup of maintenance workshop and all coordination of repair-return in-flows/out-flows.

  • Using basic and advanced voice and data RF communication techniques in the operation of military tactical radio systems.

  • Design and configure customer network devices and integrate peripherals using required protocols to customer Concept of Operations (CONOP).

  • Coordination of all Return-Maintenance Authorizations (RMA) with the Army, Navy and AFSOD for 7 years.

  • Travel internally to various customer locations for customer support.

  • Provides, presents and interprets design, application and service information to sales staff and customers.

  • Build and maintain good rapport with the customer (Army, Navy & AFSOD)

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain required work pass security clearance for access to end user locations.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years Associates Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

  • 5+ years of experience working with military tactical radio communications, system configuration including OEM products and software

  • 3 years of experience in maintenance and repair of radio equipment

  • 2 years of experience as a technical instructor for radio operations

  • 2 years of experience with installation of radio systems in various platforms (boats, armored vehicles, aircraft platforms)

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven systems and field engineering experience with tactical radio equipment including installation, operation, fault finding and basic maintenance of static and mobile installations.

  • Ability to be an independent problem solver and customer advocate. Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively with internal/external customers during an assignment abroad.

  • CCNA qualified or trained.
