Job Summary
The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of the Shipping team so that product is shipped to customers on time, complete, and undamaged. This role enables KPS Global to provide outstanding service to customers
Major Responsibilities
Reviewing shipping schedules and coordinating required carriers through either the carrier representative or individual freight carriers; maintaining strong relationship with carrier representative to ensure availability of trucks and timely deliveries
Maintaining records and equipment (trailers, internal driver pool, etc.) to meet DOT requirements
Working with Production Control regarding ship dates, changes, and special instructions
Overseeing the inspection of products prior to packing to ensuring they are complete and correct
Supervising the packing and wrapping operations to verify conformance to specifications
Ensuring product is shipped in a timely manner to meet customer delivery dates
Supervising preparation of parts, accessories, and kits for shipment
Coordinating preparation of shipping documents, establishing appropriate files, and maintaining shipping logs of all activities
Reviewing shipping processes and procedures for efficiency, damage prevention, and cost reduction
Engaging in all required human resource activities including recruitment, coaching, counseling, performance management, associate development, etc
Fulfilling the financial control and risk management responsibilities inherent in the position
Conducting activities in accordance with the Company Code of Ethics policy at all times

Must be able to work in a normal factory environment that is subject to ambient temperature conditions
Must be able to walk or stand for prolonged periods of time
Must be able to live 50 lbs
Must be able to work flexible hours
Required Experience
Associate degree
5 – 8 years of relevant experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
Lean Six Sigma Certification
Basic level of expertise in MS Office programs
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Analytical thinker who is familiar with production systems and processes
