Job Summary

As Maintenance Planner, the incumbent will be responsible for coordinating activities across the Extrusion Maintenance Department. They will ensure equipment is maintained throughout the plant and coordinate maintenance related activities directed at continuous improvement.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Create work orders in maintenance software and issue to the Maintenance Supervisor

  • Distribute preventative maintenance work orders

  • Manage the spare parts inventory

  • Organize and maintain Tool Crib

  • Responsible for implementation and operation of a preventative maintenance program

  • Label and mark shelves, along with parts, and enter into the maintenance software system

  • Maintain a complete inventory of all spare parts and auxiliary equipment, ensuring inventory levels are correct

  • Data entry of purchase orders, work orders, inventory, and PMs

  • Responsible for the hiring and placement of contractors in compliance with EH&S/ISMS

  • Ensure maintenance repair items, parts and inventories are readily available so equipment can be repaired in a timely manner

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2-5 years’ experience in a Maintenance Manufacturing environment, ideally in a similar position

  • 2-5 years experience with the use of a maintenance software system (CMMS)

  • A proven track record in a continuous improvement manufacturing environment with ISO 9001

  • Excellent leadership, collaboration, written & verbal communication and problem solving skills

  • A strong working knowledge of computers using word processing, spreadsheets, outlook and SAP
