Avera is currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.

Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) The RN in the Med/Surgical/Pediatrics Department will be knowledgeable in the care of the following age groups and maintain RN clinical competency in these groups: Infant, Child, Adolescent, Adult, Sr. Adult, and Geriatric.
Competent to care for the general medical/surgical/pediatric patient.
To include, but not limited to: Respiratory Conditions, Congestive Heart Failure, Chest Pain, Cardio Vascular Accident, Diabetes Mellitus, Infectious Disease, General Cancer/Pain, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Laparoscopic Surgery, General Gynecological Surgery, and Pediatric Infections.
Responsible for the compliance of Physician/Provider orders.
Ensures all cares are complete on the patient, such as, but not limited to, Activities of Daily Living.
Ensures that safe discharge plan is complete.
Maintains accurate patient care plan.
Attends all mandatory hospital and departmental meetings and in-services.
Participates in educational opportunities and updates/maintains current professional clinical competency related to areas of responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience
Graduate of Registered Nursing (RN) Education program.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Current licensure in the State of South Dakota as a Registered Nurse or multi-state compact RN license, and must be maintained in good standing.
Basic Life Support (BLS) is required upon hire and must be maintained.
ACLS is recommended.
PALS is highly recommended.
Work Schedule
7:00am-7:00pm and 7:00pm-7:00am; 48 hours per pay period.
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$31.00 - $46.50 per hour
