Avera is currently seeking Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) looking to deliver the best possible care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.

Provide treatment to patients as they come for outpatient services in the therapy department.
Able to work in a variety of areas including acute care, TCU/LTC, swing bed, pediatrics, outpatient adult.

Job Summary
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is accountable for treatment of patients, under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, and RN while treating patients in Cardiac Rehab.
The department in which the PTA works on any given day is at the discretion of the department leadership, based on staffing and patient volumes.
Education and/or Experience
Associates Degree-Physical Therapist Assistant is required.
1-2 years of experience is preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
South Dakota PTA license through the South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners
Basic Life Support certification within the first 3 months of start date.
Work Schedule
Monday – Friday; 80 hours every 2 weeks
8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $23.25 - $34.00
