Summary:

Facebook’s People Data Solutions team is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to provide technical solutions for the People Analytics data ecosystem. The People Data Solutions team utilizes data queries and visualization tools to provide analysis and reporting that supports People-related strategies and narratives across the business.The People Data Analyst strives to ensure the efficiency of the People Data Solutions team by developing user-friendly and flexible solutions, identifying gaps or areas for improvement, and providing the technical expertise and support that allows for People Analytics to meet the needs of our partners at scale. To be successful in this role, you'll have a passion for data, excel at managing multiple projects and partners concurrently, and enjoy a fast-moving organization. Creative problem solving and excellent interpersonal skills are most welcome.

Required Skills:

  1. Build user friendly dashboards leveraging out-of-box features, customizations, and visualizations using SQL and Tableau which empower operational and exploratory analysis for both technical and non-technical audiences

  2. Leverage technical expertise and creative problem solving to build, enhance, and automate analytics and reporting capabilities for the team and various stakeholders

  3. Lead in the ongoing development of the business intelligence and data solution ecosystem within the wider organization

  4. Effectively manage multiple concurrent projects that require input and communication from diverse cross-functional stakeholders while balancing impact on business needs

  5. Develop and enforce best practices and alignment with engineering, reporting, consulting, and research functions

  6. Document requirements with stakeholders, and drive changes to core dashboards and solutions

  7. Drive the development and implementation of technical solutions which inform, influence, support, and execute our HR business decisions for the People Analytics team and our stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS in a field that emphasizes quantitative data analysis and visualization (e.g., computer science, social sciences, physical sciences, math, engineering, or statistics), or equivalent work experience

  2. 5+ years experience with SQL (or similar language aimed at querying relational databases)

  3. 5+ years of experience working with Tableau (or similar data visualization tools)

  4. Experience managing, manipulating, and validating large data sets from multiple systems, tools, and reports using statistical software or other methods

  5. Experience handling sensitive data, and exercising judgment and discretion

  6. Experience with an agile project management approach that emphasizes communication, coordination, flexible reassessment of plans, and iterative phases of work

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. MA/MS in a field that emphasizes data analysis and visualization (e.g., computer science, social sciences, physical sciences, math, engineering, or statistics), or equivalent work experience

  2. 3+ years of experience with R, Python, or a similar scripting language

  3. Experience working with HR/organizational people data (e.g. headcount, turnover, recruiting metrics, and other people analytics)

  4. Experience interacting with non-technical stakeholders and their reactive needs to ambiguous and changing priorities even when all the information is not readily available
