Community Operations' focus is on supporting our users through both direct support interactions as well as scalable solutions, and on improving the health of our products by helping people understand how to use them. If you like helping people, Community Operations is for you.This role is for the Head of Inauthentic Behavior Operations within Community Product Operations’ Problem Process Team. Process teams drive the operational protocol to scale our enforcement of the community standards to our community of 2 billion people. The team owns the operational health and design of key workflows and metrics, and identifies and drives improvements in those aligned to core metrics. Team members are subject matter experts in the abuse areas they support and leverage that expertise to maintain an overall picture of the roadmap for the abuse area. The Inauthentic Behavior Operations team drives these efforts in close partnership with a large cross-functional team. On this team, you will have the opportunity to directly protect the safety of the Facebook community by leading a team responsible for building protocol, strategies, and operations to reduce the prevalence of abuse on our platforms. We are seeking a seasoned manager, and a resilient self-starter who thrives in driving structure in ambiguous spaces, working in fast paced environments and leveraging strong strategic and critical thinking skills to define solutions to new problem sets. You have a passion for developing others and bring out the best in your teams. You are an influencer who will work directly with our cross-functional team (engineering, product, etc.), as well as all of the teams within Community Operations, to scale global projects from inception to launch.

Required Skills:

  1. Provide leadership, guidance, and career development to a team of people managers and project managers

  2. Establish team goals and work with direct reports on strategies for executing, measuring progress, and sharing results

  3. Utilize strategic tools, systems, and data to help the team analyze trends and deliver insights to define goals and improve processes

  4. Provide recommendations and influence team strategy through use of effective communication

  5. Craft and lead team to its vision: drive impact towards goals, and work with leaders across the organization on strategies for executing, measuring progress, and sharing results

  6. Build strategic relationships with global and cross-functional teams to understand and anticipate risks to the company, and develop global solutions for monitoring operations and responding to external events

  7. Coordinate with global cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, PR/Communications, Public Policy, Legal, Quality, and others to problem solve and develop solutions

  8. Advocate for the community support aspect of new products, partnering with global and cross-functional teams to develop global solutions

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 10+ years of experience working in operations, domains such as online operations, informational systems, compliance, risk management, policy, legal operations, or management consulting

  2. 4+ years of people management experience

  3. Demonstrated experience influencing across functional boundaries and/or globally

  4. Experience working with product, engineering or technical teams

  5. Analytical and problem-solving experience

  6. BA/BS Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience scaling and leading project management and analytical teams

  2. Experience managing teams that utilize data analysis & visualization tools (e.g. SQL, Excel, Tableau)

  3. 3+ years of experience in the Trust & Safety space, or in another adversarial space such as intelligence, fraud, risk, etc.

  4. Experience with predictive or descriptive analytics and working with machine learning teams
