Summary About the Position: The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Armaments Center (AC) serves as the Army's technology leader for armament systems. DEVCOM AC ensures dominance of Army capabilities by researching, developing, integrating and delivering technology-enabled armament solutions to our Warfighters. AC has a long tradition as the primary research and development center for new and existing armament systems which are in use by US. service members around the world. Responsibilities Serves the organization as an expert analyst engaged in assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or the improvement of major complex management processes and systems. Applies comprehensive knowledge of the administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the administration of one or more important administrative/business programs. Participates in formal and informal meetings conferences, committees, and seminars with representatives of other functional areas, managers, and representatives of other/higher command, industry and academia. May lead a team of employees working on a project in the area of specialty and assigns work to team members and reviews work products. Specialized Experience: 1) Experience with the development of contract packages, statement of works, procurement, and/or purchasing related activities. 2) Experience in monitoring contract administration and contractor performance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DE-02/GS-11/12).
