Job Description: Quality Auditor
Job Functions
Conducts audits on each piece of machinery in the printing, cutting and finishing departments using the quality assurance check list.
Sets up quality checks daily and other tests on an as needed basis
Pulls quality customer samples from production floor or plant daily.
Makes customer sample books when needed.
Performs various office work, including filing and logging of information and statistics
Study waste patterns and develop methods to reduce COV (cost of variance)
Assist in the development of quality check analysis
Required Skills
3-5 years’ experience in quality, manufacturing, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be flexible; willing to work other shifts, overtime and weekends
Standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs.) carrying (up to 50 lbs.), pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, visual acuity (Near and Far)
Ability to work in team focused environment
Work well in fast moving environment with frequent deadlines
Good general knowledge of quality and production concepts
Required Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
3-4 years of related manufacturing or converting facility of similar type preferred
Experience working in fast pace manufacturing environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet research skills
Requires use of all general office equipment (e.g. fax, copier, telephone, etc.)
Proven track record of identifying opportunities and the ability to recommend and implement improvements
Leader with exceptional communication skills, good organization, and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and influence others
Needs to be a self-starter, self-directed, and willingness to take action to move forward with ideas.
