Responsibilities

As our Surgical Tech at SJHMC Labor and Delivery, you will provide excellent service to the patients of the L&D Department, the physicians, fellow employees and hospital staff. The operating room (OR) operates as a team, and every member plays a crucial role that directly impacts the patient's outcome. Your role is not just important; it's integral to our success. Your expertise in surgical procedures and sterilization directly contributes to the positive outcomes of our patients, making you a valued and indispensable part of our team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room for assigned surgical procedures with proper instrumentation and sterilization

• Navigate the nuances of surgical procedures and surgeons you’ll be supporting

• Adapt to the needs of emergency situations

• Provide clean-up and turnover of operating room to prepare for next patient

Qualifications

Minimum

• Minimum of four (4) years clinicalexperience as a surgical technologist

Preferred

• Surgical Tech Program Graduatepreferred

• Preferred - Graduate of accreditedsurgical technologist program and certifiedas a surgical technologist

• CT - ORT andfour (4) years clinical experience

Pay Range

$30.55 - $44.30 /hour
