The supervisor is responsible to develop, maintain, and improve service to customers 24 hours a day. Incumbent must recruit, select, mentor, coach, develop, discipline, and maintain a staff that will provide this service. This should be done through ongoing self-improvement, the promotion of continuous improvement, and by being a change agent.
Associate's degree and seven years' radiology experience, which includes previous lead or supervisory experience, OR, Bachelor's degree and five years' radiology experience, which includes previous lead or supervisory experience.
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work independently. Ability to multitask and manage a variety of daily problems that arise, including but not limited to patient related issues, equipment, technical competency, workflow, and supervisory duties. Thorough understanding of Mayo and Radiology policies and procedures and ability to communicate these expectations to employees. Ability to gain cooperation through leading by example, motivating individuals, and influencing others. Supervisor should be sensitive, assertive, and possess a management style that promotes teamwork and harmonious working relationships.
License or certification
ARRT registration in Radiography (R) and Arizona Certified Radiologic Technologist credential are required. Arizona CTCT certification required for CT. ARRT Registry in CT, MR, CV, Mammography or Nuclear Medicine and/or NMTCB certification may be required for some units. Basic Life Support Certification is required upon hire and must be valid for 90 days or greater from start date. Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.

Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $3,096 based on a full-time position.

Regular weekend hours not required at this time. Intermittent weekend hours may be necessary. This is subject to change.
