The Opportunity
As a dedicated Strategic Account Relationship Manager Senior for P&C Vendor Management , you will be responsible for developing, managing, growing, and nurturing, relationships between USAA and external strategic suppliers. These objectives include onboarding and operational support of strategic partner relationships, ability to identify opportunities for growth, and overall build strong relationship with key strategic partners including internal affiliates.
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, Chesapeake, VA or Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
What you'll do:
Effectively initiates and manages supplier relationships with strategic supplier partners and internal business team members.
Monitors strategic account partners satisfaction, understands, and applies data-driven insights to influence strategies to drive the achievement of business goals.
Responsible for timely and appropriate resolution of escalations from strategic supplier partners.
Partners with team to work with research, analytics, finance, and staff area leaders to identify, influence and lead cross departmental improvement efforts.
Identifies opportunities to document and facilitate improvements to processes.
Assists with developing functional policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Conducts periodic meetings with strategic account personnel to foster relationships and uncover opportunities to develop operational efficiencies of products.
Serves as a peer mentor and on-the-job trainer for other team members.
Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
6 years of experience in supplier relationship management, to include supplier governance, procurement and/or supply chain management experience.
Advanced knowledge and experience with applicable industry and products for the assigned functional area.
Strong Agile Methodology acumen.
Advanced Data Analysis skills.
Basic Process Mapping Experience.
Accountability for complex tasks and/or projects required.
Strong relationship management skills and demonstrated ability to influence decisions at senior leadership levels.
Strong issue resolution and follow-up skills.
Strong executive-level communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively navigate and mediate conflict and foster honest dialog.
Strong written communication skills.
Advanced knowledge of the project management and prioritization skills.
Advanced level of business acumen in the areas of the business operations, industry practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends required.
Travel may be required.

Subject Matter Expert in developing and implementing 3P Strategies.

What we offer:
Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $99,160.00 - $189,530.00.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
