Honeywell Sr Engineer Program Manager in Phoenix, Arizona
Be part of the Leadership team that is responsible for providing Aerospace level certification oversight. The Product Integrity Product Assurance Airworthiness & Certification (PI-PAAC) organization has a Senior Program Manager for Certification position available. The successful candidate will be expected to meet qualification criteria for both STC ODA administrator and Engineering Unit Member. You will be responsible for adherence to the Honeywell and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Partnership for Safety Plan (PSP) and work with members of leadership from various product groups to ensure STC projects are compliant with regulations and the Honeywell ODA procedures manual. You will provide technical leadership to a group of talented professionals who provide expertise to facilitate the successful installation and certification of Honeywell products.
This position will report to the Director of PI-PAAC. As a senior member of the certification engineering team, other responsibilities include providing guidance and mentoring junior level Certification Engineers, providing guidance in work estimates and project schedules, coordinating with Aftermarket and Product Program managers, and supporting technical and certification strategy discussions with customers and internal Honeywell stakeholders.

YOU MUST HAVE
-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
-10 years experience in the development and certification of avionics systems & equipment
-Previous or current FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER) delegation or ODA Engineering Unit Member/Administrator
-Ability to travel

-Understand of business objectives and more importantly the ability to work with functional leaders to prioritize resources and implement project objectives
-Knowledge of aircraft wiring and associated documentation is preferred
-Knowledge of communication, navigation, surveillance, and data/voice recording avionics systems is an asset
-Experience with installation and operation of autonomous aircraft equipment/systems
-Self-directing with ability to manage to schedules & metrics is preferred
-A proven ability for fostering excellent customer/certification agency relationships is a plus
-Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and productivity gains through use of collaborative team methods is preferred
