Honeywell Sr Advanced System Engineer in Phoenix, Arizona
As a Sr Advanced Systems Engineer - Propulsion Controls Systems at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies, you will play a key role in the design and development of advanced propulsion control systems for aerospace applications. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, qualification, and support of propulsion turbine engine control systems and associated development equipment. These complex systems serve as part of full authority digital engine control (FADEC) systems. The propulsion control systems organization will rely on you to ensure the systems meet the needs of internal and external customers. You will utilize your strong electrical engineering background to provide technical expertise and guidance in the development of cutting-edge systems. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects and contribute to the advancement of aerospace technology.
In this role, you will impact the aerospace industry by designing and developing innovative propulsion control systems that enhance the performance, efficiency, and safety of aircraft. You will report directly to our Integrated Electronics Development Team Manager, and you'll work out of our Phoenix location on a hybrid work schedule.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Guide the design and development of advanced propulsion control systems
Provide technical expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams
Work with stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
Conduct feasibility studies and analyze technical requirements
Implement electrical engineering strategies and best practices
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Manage project budgets and timelines

YOU MUST HAVE
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant field.
Troubleshooting skills for electronic systems.
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
