Job Description Summary
The Software Quality Assurance Analyst conducts a wide range of quality-control tests and analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements. Executes tests according to established plans & scripts, logs problems, retests software corrections; creates test data files with valid and invalid records; drafts and revises test plans and scripts.
Reviewing software requirements and preparing manual and automated test cases
Executing test cases/scenarios
Analyzing test results on data migration or configuration issues, errors, or bugs
Interacting with the business team to understand product requirements
Participating in Analysis & Design sessions and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems
Creating and executing test scripts using automation test tools
Performance testing and analysis
Accurately estimating level of effort required to test a set of requirements
Testing integrations with other applications using flat file or web service data transfer methods.
Performs a combination of duties in accordance with department guidelines.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, or related field
Zero or more years in programming or testing
Experience working in a student employment program or related experience
Experience working with appropriate programming languages, operating systems, and software
Experience in developing SQL queries utilizing RDBMS to validate test results and/or to create test data to execute test cases
Excellent listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills with attention to details
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment demonstrating strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Experience working in an Agile environment
Understanding of SDLC
Experience with Cucumber a plus
