Enterprise Identity is responsible for all Authorization, Authentication, Single Sign On, and security features for American Express applications internally and externally. The organization is currently going through a "Profile Modernization" that will allow American Express to recognize better the user which will minimize identity authentication steps.

• Mid level engineers (5+ years experience)

• Full stack preferable but back-end would be priority

• Java 8+ (17+ preferred), Spring

• RDBMS, NoSQL DB experience

• Testing experience (unit, integration, functional, acceptance, regression, etc.)

• Experience in authentication technologies/security preferred

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Team player/take direction well

• Design thinking, architecture, problem solving skills

The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge scalable intelligent solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy highly scalable and fault tolerant services, applications and models that drive innovation and enhance efficiency in customer servicing space. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineer with expertise in Java, Microservices architecture on cloud to join our team.

Serving as a core member of an agile team that leads user story analysis and elaboration, designs and develops software applications

Responsible for the applications architecture, work/coordinate with other team’s architect, engineers and vendors as necessary

Writing code and unit tests, automation, and conducting code reviews and testing

Identifying exciting opportunities for adopting new technologies to solve existing needs and predicting future challenges

Performing ongoing refactoring of code, utilizing visualization and other techniques to fast track concepts, and delivering continuous improvement

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00
