WESCO Senior Product Manager in Phoenix, Arizona

As the Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for developing strategic products and marketing plans for product or product lines through product development, market research, competitive analysis, pricing, customer engagement and business planning. You will be responsible for directing strategy and development of new products to meet market demands. You will hold strategic customer and manufacturer relationships often at the Senior Management/Executive level to drive new product revenues.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing new revenue streams for a business unit or target industry. Position is focused on developing solutions that solve industry problems and therefore warranting exceptional margins.

  • Responsible for negotiating all elements of assigned supplier and factory relationships to ensure lowest total cost of procurement, including product cost, performance metrics, rebates, etc.

  • Own, qualify, and develop supplier relationships and contact with factories, software developers, design engineering firms and other suppliers at a high, often Senior Management/Executive level, focusing on the strategic nature of the relationship.

  • Responsible for understanding markets where products are sold.

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Experience, Supply Chain, Marketing and Finance to support the business and continuously improve sales enablement and customer experience (both external and internal).

  • Responsible for merchandising product assortment through our digital assets to ensure customers can easily find and choose the best product to meet their needs.

  • Responsible for inventory management and direct customer engagement opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • 5 years required, 7 years preferred of product development and marketing experience.

  • Best practices for creating awareness, generating demand and driving sales.

  • Understanding of product lifecycle from entry to exit.

  • Knowledge of product portfolios with various strategic priorities (e.g. sales growth, margin growth, inventory optimization, etc.).

  • Able to clearly communicate complex technical issues.

  • Able to effectively present information via verbal and written presentations to all levels of the organization.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity, strive for continuous improvement and recognize opportunities to benefit department and broader organization.

  • Training expertise for end users, integrator contractor customers, and internal sales teams.

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced work environment.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%
