American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is a global leader in the commercial payments solutions space and continues to be an exciting and fast-growing business dedicated exclusively to the success of businesses globally. GCS provides a range of Corporate Payments Solutions and other expense management tools to help small, mid, and large size companies around the world manage all facets of their business spending.

Corporate Onboarding is one of American Express’ top enterprise initiatives and a core component is crafting detailed user experiences that presents a product offering to serve a wide range of Corporate Client structures. The purpose of the Onboarding Capabilities team is to modernize the onboarding process globally by developing robust capabilities that support the customer journey and scale the growing corporate business. The vision of the B2B data ecosystem is to thoughtfully organize supplier and buyer data in one place, provide a platform of common services that can be used consistently by end user applications and scale B2B payments by removing friction during the supplier enablement process.

How will you make an impact in this role?

We are looking for a top-tier Sr. Manager, Digital Product Management to help us build our next generation of digital onboarding capabilities that enable B2B payments through a central global experience—meeting customers where they are. We have a tremendous opportunity to re-invent the onboarding journey with best-in-class services for automated acceptance, turnkey enablement, product recommendations, opportunity simulators, and much more to deliver fabulous and seamless experience for our customers and partners.

This role will serve as a product champion, responsible for evaluating and resolving product(s) and/or features to be built and delivered to our users. They will work with cross-functional teams including planning, product, user experience, engineering, and users in an agile environment—test/learn/improve—to continuously review business needs, identify opportunities, and mitigating risks. The successful candidate will be equally proficient in B2B payments and software development strategies (i.e., can speak to the differences between APIs, batch processing and event sourcing).

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with stakeholders and customers across the organization to advise the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization

  • Develop, own, and implement product roadmap execution to create an end-to-end onboarding and enablement experience

  • Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories and acceptance test criteria

  • Work across functions (product, engineering, data, sales, account development) to enable a full stack solution of onboarding capabilities including acceptance, payment verification, and enablement

  • Partner with sales & account development groups, Salesforce teams and Technologies to define the user experience for internal GCS users, including support and monitoring

  • Works closely cross-functionally to obtain a mutual understanding of the product vision and a passion for solving customer issues

  • Articulates product strategy and vision across the enterprise across multiple products

  • Prioritize and maintain the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders

  • Lead the product functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of the users, applications, and technology

  • Define and execute a go-to-market plan, ensuring that product management, marketing and sales have what they need to be successful

  • Develop and maintain appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance post-launch to evaluate future investment

  • Brings the customer viewpoint to the product design process with a demonstrated competency to actively listen to customer feedback across all touchpoints and channels; to routinely leverage this feedback into insights; and to build products and services that delight and inspire

  • Uses insights about the market and industry to drive value-added solutions

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A good balance of technical knowledge and business acumen with a proven record of accomplishment of delivering data driven solutions with a customer-first mindset

  • An established background in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams and proficiency in prototyping, iterative development, understanding of Agile principles

  • Experience successfully driving end-to-end delivery of data & intelligence solutions, including a wide variety of mechanisms, e.g., dashboards, APIs, real time alerts, etc.

  • Proactive, self-starter with excellent project management skills and ability to run multiple tasks effectively

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment

  • High degree of organization, individual initiative, and personal accountability

  • 3 years of experience in product management and/or product development

  • Experience with higher Excel functions, SQL, HIVE and/or Python

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with procurement, expense management and treasury businesses and processes are a plus

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefits
