Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Senior HR Business Partner

It is an exciting time to join the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) HR Team as we actively transform and modernize the HR operating model by consistently delivering the global HR remit to meet the demands of OCI’s growing business. As a Senior HR Business Partner on this team, you will be a strategic business partner aligned to Executive Leaders in OCI. This new and innovative opportunity will report directly to the Senior HR Director and have the ability to part of molding the future here at Oracle.

As a Senior HR Business Partner in OCI, you will build trusted advisor relationships, understand the business priorities, and translate those into a HR people strategy. You will be a critical leader partnering with the executive and their leadership team on org optimization, workforce productivity and development, executive engagement, and long-term vision planning. You will help executives look around corners with data- driven recommendations that improve performance, retention, and overall culture. You will drive organizational transformation in support of growing the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Senior Human Resources Business partner and trusted advisor to Executives in OCI.

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the business/culture to provide vision, strategic leadership, and communication across the organization.

  • Provide strategic guidance on people and organizational issues: Organizational Design, workforce Planning, Talent Planning, Talent Assessment and Business Transformation.

  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to the executive leadership team by developing strong, proactive, and collaborative working relationships.

  • Establish an organizational and people strategy, in partnership with HR COE, to elevate culture, improve organizational health and enhance employee engagement.

  • Acts as a thought leader on internal and external talent landscape and strategic HR initiatives to drive the business forward and influence decisions.

  • Consistently review org health, use a data-driven approach to identify key trends in the business and proactively provide solutions.

  • Creates strategies to build leader capability, and drive implementation of initiatives resulting in broad behavioral shifts.

  • Build a culture of collaboration not only in support of the OCI organization, but with partner functions across HR (Organization & Talent Development (OTD), Corporation Compensation, Talent, etc.)

  • Build reciprocal relationships with various parts of the business, partners, and customers, identify synergies across LOBs and act on opportunities to integrate efforts.

  • Empower others to take ownership of problems, make effective decisions and recognize the broad, systematic implications of problems and issues.

  • Manage elevated levels of ambiguity effectively and support the resolution of complex problems that cross organizational boundaries.

  • Create an environment of personal accountability and ownership for problem-solving while securing commitments for change initiatives and addressing any concerns.

  • Mentor teammates across the organization to support the organizational and business needs.

  • Other duties as assigned.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • 10+ years of Human Resources experience in a business partnering capacity with an emphasis workforce planning, long term vision planning, organization agility and optimization, and executive engagement.

  • Advanced experience in consulting and working with senior leaders in the design, development, and execution of human resources strategies and initiatives, including organization design, change management, learning and development, management & leadership capability building, (strategic) workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, inclusion & diversity and employee engagement.

  • Proven ability in coaching, influencing without authority, and building strong business acumen.

  • Demonstrable track record in building trust and credibility between Human Resources and client groups across all levels of an organization.

  • Must be self-directed and possess the ability to quickly learn and use internal systems and tools.

  • Ability to lead with critical thinking skills, data driven decision making, driving use of analytics, relevant reporting mechanisms and proper communication.

  • Ability to tell a story using data. Experience creating analytics using Excel, and presentation design and delivery, in support of Human Resources and business initiatives.

  • Background reflecting strong tenure and career progression within a complex, global organization.

  • Ability to create analytics using Excel (pivot tables, xlookup, charts, etc.) and effectively communicate insights in support of HR business initiatives.

  • Must be self-directed and able to work independently, as well as in a team environment;

  • Resourceful in finding solutions; effective at dealing with resistance.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on both strategic and tactical levels.

  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Experience working in large global corporation, “High Tech” Industry, navigating and influencing across a technology focused team/organization and changing environment. Experience with purpose driven organizations is beneficial.

  • Proven ability to implement business strategies and solutions within a global matrix Human Resources organization.

Ability to travel as required.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $96,000 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
