Aston Carter Remote Faith-Based Provider Support Specialist in Phoenix, Arizona

Work Environment:

  • Faith Based, Christian organization.

  • Need someone who is 100% comfortable working in that type of business environment.

  • Dress code is business casual (polo or button down with slacks).

  • Very religious work environment

A Day in the Role:

  • Will be taking about 50-60 calls from providers each day

  • Responsible for discussing bills and coverage for members, and membership guidelines, (example: could be calling to verify member's coverage, guidelines for coverage, and appeals, etc.)

  • Preferably have experience working a provider's office and knowledge of coding

  • Will be using medical terminology

  • Will be sending follow up emails/information to providers/members to make sure they have all of the information required

Hours and Compensation:

  • 9 hour shift with 1 hour lunch assigned between hours 8am to 9pm EST OR 9am to 8pm CST OR 6am to 7pm MST Monday - Friday

  • Need to be flexible working ANY hours between those hours

  • Full time 40 hours a week

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a medical setting for at least 2 years (within the last 5 years)

  • Familiarity with talking about coding in general (ICD-10), medical procedures, insurance verification etc.

  • Working knowledge of medical terminology

  • Ability to communicate with providers using professional decorum

  • Experience with provider networks and eligibility

  • Knowledge of HIPAA protocols and requirements

  • Personal or professional experience with Christianity

  • Strong job tenure in past positions

  • Ability to work off of multiple computer screens and navigate through multiple systems

  • Ability to work full time, within the required hours

  • Must have hard wired internet connection (10 Mbps or more for Download and Upload, less than 100 Ping)
