Job Description Summary

Job Description
Drive improved product quality by identifying manufacturing issues, developing cost-effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation into production.
Implement Process improvements (Cycle time, Quality, cost) that ultimately have a positive Impact on business.
Achieve scrap & quality local metrics.
Define and control production process including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment. Includes Manufacturing Engineers.
Builds rapport with external resources/vendors to ensure ongoing knowledge and leverage with technical problem solving on equipment and processes.
Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or relevant
OR Associates Degree with 4+ years' experience
OR High School Diploma/GED with 6+ years' experience
Process Improvement skills are required within years of exp listed
Preferred Qualifications
Transducer and Probe Manufacturing experience
Machine level programming
Optimization of Equipment/Processes
