Hello humankindness Dignity Health Medical Group is the employed physician group of Dignity Health Arizona. Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) employs approximately 200 providers and 500 support staff that cover a wide variety of specialties. The medical group has had tremendous success over the past few years and now provides more than 73 subspecialty services. The physicians provide clinical services in their areas of specialty and many serve in pivotal academic research and leadership roles.DHMG is also heavily involved in preparing tomorrows healthcare providers. DHMG has 84 medical school students and approximately 200 residents and fellows throughout the 25 academic programs. Responsibilities

SUMMARY - DHMG is seeking an Orthopedic Trauma Surgery PA to join us at Phoenix Saint Joseph’s Hospital and the DHMG Orthopedic clinic in Phoenix, Arizona. The position, which includes employment through DHMG, will assist the attending surgeons in orthopedics to deliver quality patient care services at SJHMC, a not-for-profit hospital and state designated Level 1 Adult Trauma Center.

Join our Orthopedic Trauma Practice with multiple fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeons and a robust team of Physician Assistants.

Responsibilities:

• Assist attending surgeons in the operating room.

• Inpatient care / rounding on patients

• Outpatient post-op clinical coverage

• Participate in orthopedic trauma call; First-Call shifts 4-5 shifts per month.

• Prior orthopedic experience desirable

• 1+ year experience as surgical 1st assist preferred but open to new graduates

This position is primarily a Monday-Friday inpatient and clinical position with rotating night, weekend and holiday call/OR coverage.

Qualifications

MINIMUM

Degree as a Physician Assistant

Minimum 3 years clinical experience in related area

(1) Certification as Physician Assistant from Arizona Joint Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners.

(2) American Heart Association Basic Life Support.

(3) American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

(4) NCCPA - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant.

(5) Valid DEA registration

Pay Range

$54.12 - $78.47/hour
