Robert Half Payroll Administrator in Phoenix, Arizona

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Administrator based in Phoenix, Arizona. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our dynamic team, handling critical tasks such as coordination between payroll and other departments, system administration, and payroll processing. This role is crucial in maintaining the smooth operation of our day-to-day business.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate between payroll, human resources, and other departments to ensure seamless flow and maintenance of employee data

• Handle the administration of the electronic timekeeping system, including setting up each employee's profile and monitoring benefit deductions

• Verify that hourly staff have entered time for appropriate hours and overtime

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records, ensuring that changes are entered correctly and in a timely manner

• Respond to general payroll questions from staff

• Process and verify direct deposit banking information and tax deductions from employees

• Handle compensation changes as approved by the President or Directors

• Understand state differences for payroll procedures that pertain to hiring and termination of staff including employee differences in Visa tax obligations

• Review changes for proper authorization and adherence to APA policy including compliance with Federal/state/local regulations.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Experience with Ceridian and Crystal Reports

• Knowledge of 401k - RRSP Administration and About Time

• Understanding of Accounting Functions and Auditing

• Familiarity with Benefit Functions. Requirements

• Must possess at least 5 years of experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with UKG Payroll Software

• Experience with Ceridian and Crystal Reports is required

• Knowledge in 401k - RRSP Administration and About Time software

• Proficiency in Accounting Functions and Auditing

• Experience in Benefit Functions is a plus

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
