HonorHealth Patient Care Technician PRN Float Pool in PHOENIX, Arizona

Please note: This is a PRN position that consists of 12 shifts per quarter (3 month period) with 4 of those shifts being weekend shifts. Located in north central Phoenix, John C. Lincoln Medical Center is a leader in robotic and scarless surgery and offers extensive heart care services with a radiation-free, 3D heart-mapping system. The 262-bed medical center is also home to: American College of Surgeons-verified Level I Trauma Center Accredited Primary Stroke Center Accredited Chest Pain Center Certified Cardiac Arrest Center Specialty surgery unit to care for orthopedic, urology, neurology and other surgery patients Inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services Inpatient and outpatient medical imaging Critical care unit Interventional radiology services Satellite Breast Health and Research Center office General surgery resident training program Responsibilities Job Summary Provides patient related care tasks based on the principles of growth and development across the life span of patients served in his/her independent unit. Assists, observes, and reports patient changes to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation relative to the care delivered. Provides and collaborates direct patient care services under the direct supervisor of a licensed caregiver. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to personal care, activities of daily living, vital signs, intake and output, ambulation, interventions, and implementation of selected portions of the patient care plan as directed under supervisor of nurse. Assists, observes and reports changes in patient condition to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation in relation to the care delivered. Addresses and/or directs questions or concerns from patients, families, caregivers, or health care team members. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED Required Experience Completion of Block 1 in Nursing OR Medical Assistant (MA) OR Nursing Assistant (NA) OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR current HonorHealth employee in good standing with 6 months of experience Required Licenses and Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
